CASHMERE

“Girl, your parents are going to shit a brick when you get home and tell them you’re married. Hell, I want to shit a brick, and I know how it all went down. Oh, my fucking gosh. Your mama is going to kill the both of us, and I’m too fly to die this early in life. This is the kind of stuff that happens in a movie or a good ass urban fiction book!” Jaliyah exclaimed.

My stomach was in all kinds of knots. I had the slightest idea how I was going to explain any of this to my parents. My anxiety was on one thousand, and I was about to have a full-blown attack. My heart began to pound, and I felt like I couldn’t breathe.

“Come on, Cash. Breathe in, breathe out. Relax, sis. It’s not the worst thing you’ve ever done in your life. You know if anything your mama probably going to try to throw a whole party in your honor. “You’re right. We only have to appear to be married in front of his family. He’ll live in his house; I’ll live in mine. We’ll only see each other as necessary. Everything is going to be alright.”

We were interrupted by a rap on the door. Jaliyah went to answer it, and I continued to pack my clothes. The scent of Baccarat tickled my nose. “What’s up, wifey? You need some help packing up?”

“You probably don’t even know how to fold clothes. How are you going to help me?”

Bishop snatched the shirt out of my hand and folded it to prove a point. I didn’t say anything as he continued to pack with me. Jaliyah decided for both of us when she told Knight we were getting on the plane with them. She had our tickets refunded and everything. We did a good sweep of the room before heading to the airstrip to go home.

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe we have to go back home,” I complained as we boarded their private plane. I had never flown private, but I could get used to traveling like this. The inside of the plane’s color scheme was light gray and black. It had a grown and sexy type of feel. There
